Paul has played the guitar ever since he can remember. He has been a successful guitar teacher and performer for all of his working life. He wrote his first book – the critically acclaimed ‘The Paul Hill Guitar Theory and Technique Book’ in 2002. His book has recently been rewritten and is now available on iTunes. A website to complement The Paul Hill Guitar Theory and Technique Book is http://guitartheoryandtechniquebook.com. The website features lessons, links to tuition videos by Paul and a forum.
Paul was the first ever person to achieve the FLCM Jazz Guitar Performance Diploma in 2010. Fellowship of the London College of Music is the highest diploma awarded by London College of Music and Thames Valley University. Paul is a London College of Music international examiner and often conducts seminars at major educational institutions.
Paul first began playing classical guitar when he was very young. Since then, he has played in countless popular rock bands, theatres, international jazz festivals, at major music shows and many other different styles. When playing with Laura, Paul plays his 7 string BJH arch top guitar that was custom built to his own specifications by the incredible luthier (and coincidently his father!) Bryan Hill.
Paul has another website with various projects in which he is involved. To read about Paul’s other musical ventures, please visit http://norfolkweddingguitarist.co.uk.
